Something new

For a few years now I have written short stories for this blog.  It became tedious though and I prayed about it.  I feel it is time for me to end my writing of short stories.  That doesn't mean I am closing down this blog though.  I have a new vision.  It's time I share some of my passions as a woman of God.  I am learning new things after over 40 years of marriage.  My husband has been diagnosed with a fatty liver.  Non alcoholic liver disease.  This means I am learning to cook a whole new way.  I am enjoying learning to fix new recipes.

My grandmother was a huge influence on my life.  I find myself sewing much like she used to sew.  I am not a professional seamstress and tear out as many stitches as I sew at times.  Yet, I enjoy remaking things.  I've made dresses out of skirts, kitchen curtains out of round tablecloth, and crocheting edgings on my clothes.  I love to crochet easy things.  Difficult things take too long and I lose my focus.  Yet, doilies, tablecloths, dresser scarves or knit hats and mittens are fun.

I love thrift store shopping.  I will post many photos of things I found and refurbished.

My heart is always finding ways to magnify Jesus Christ.  I am his child.  I will post much about my faith.

At my age, over 60...I have lived enough to have seen things.  I have struggled and failed and then lived on.  I try to live my life in accordance with my faith.  My bible and prayer are preventative measures that help me stay out of trouble.  So....on to a new season.
