As a child I was frequently asked by my siblings ‘Who do you think you are?’ The debate would begin after I had somehow overstepped my bounds in their eyes. As an adult though, I have looked at this question again.
So often we are described by what we do or what we have. Some look at our past to describe us today. Yet I am not the sum total of my past mistakes. Neither do I identify myself by any infirmity. My source of income is not who I am either. My size, color of hair and skin is only the vehicle in which the real me lives in.
I found this list of God’s descriptions as I thought about it. God’s own word tells me that he sees me in a whole new light. This is the description I will cling to.
