Pasta Sauce with Italian Dressing

Mystery Marinara Sauce

I resurrected this recipe from when I first got married. I came up with it when I was just 18 and did not have anything to make spaghetti sauce. Not many seasonings in the house but a lot of nerve!

1 can of tomato soup
1 soup can of water
1 large can of diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon oregano
1 diced clove of garlic
1 diced onion
¼ cup of regular Italian salad dressing
salt and pepper to taste [as much as tastes good to you]
½ teaspoon of sugar to cut the acid

I fry up ½ pound ground meant [beef, or turkey] and put in the crock pot with the above ingredients.
If you have peppers of any color, you can add them too. I serve with pasta, but you can also serve over rice.
