Recently I took a funny little test offered to me by my cousin on 'Facebook'. It wasn't too hard, just 8-10 questions that gauge your reactions to life situations. In my cousin's case...he was 104 years old. I've no idea what his answers were. Me? I was told I have the mind of a three year old. I was astonished when I saw the little picture for that three year old. It was a blonde child with crayons. Now as you look at this less than perfect blogsite, I want you to know that it is designed to look like a child's blog. No, I'm not being misleading. The welcome at the top clearly depicts what I am doing here.
Yet rather than have a look of professional polish, I opted to try to keep things in perspective with my own style. According to that fun little test I took, a three year old enjoys simple things. They are a bit hyper and the attention is short. Hence, the reason for short stories and not books and novels here. They are carefree and enjoy fun. If you notice, the Lord has given me some simple comical stories mixed in with some serious issues.
Yet, being a child of God does not mean that we are childish. No, contrary to that we are child-like. A childish person would stomp her foot and demand attention. Yet, one who is a child of the King knows she has His attention and can be happy with any circumstance. A child like person is always learning and seeking to investigate. A childish one thinks they know it all.
I pray that the reader who comes to this site will gain a perspective of Jesus through the little stories about adult life. I pray the child like heart in you comes alive as you turn the pages. If you read about anything that resembles your trials, I pray you gain a new hope and understanding of how Jesus never will leave you. If you approach any storm with the perspective of a child of God you will go through it in with the freedom and expectation of a three year old. Yet, you will grow up into a very mature Christian.
